The fashion label Allard, by Ligia Mallard, was created in 2008 aiming to supply a relevant, although poorly explored, niche of nowadays fashion market. The label designs women outfits and lingeries for vintage lovers who have the ability to read “the past” as an inspiration for a life style that is, at the same time, comfortable and full of cultural references.
The label Allard assumes that a view on a dressing style from the past cannot be free from the concepts of our own times. In this way, Allard wants to make sure that its translation of timeless values is in constant dialogue with the modern trends. For that, the label aims to capture, in its articles, the elegance and classic style of the 40’sand 50’s without renouncing to contemporary fashion principles and technologies. In other words, Allard’s ambition is to work with a melting pot of secular influences and bind them together through a timeless conducting line, reflecting, in this way, its own values.
Finally, Allard bets on an exclusive style, in authenticity and in the appreciation of finding the beauty in the simplest things of our day to day lives. More than all, Allard believes in the discovery of the beautiful contrasts and affinities between the old and the new.
