Barnabé Hardy’s work is at the centre of early 21st century men’s fashion.
The launch of his new collection of leather jackets is the latest highlight in a rich career.
As a menswear specialist, he worked alongside Nicolas Ghesquière for many years, first at CALLAGHAN in Italy (1999-2001), then at BALENCIAGA where he launched the menswear range, which he designed for eight years (1999-2007).
He is also responsible for the sweatshirt collection MINETS PAR BARNABE (2001), a series of one-off pieces hand-embroidered with “disco” sequins, which was initiated with the help of Maria Luisa. The MINETS PAR BARNABE collection allowed him to participate in a charitable project with LACOSTE.
Since 2001, his editorial career includes a variety of projects with stylist Marie Amélie Sauvé. In 2008, he was named fashion director of MIXTE 100% HOMME.
Today, as a freelance designer and consultant for several houses, Barnabé Hardy has chosen to develop his own line as a new challenge, and an answer to the expectations of modern men everywhere.
