Dazed’s December issue presents a world exclusive feature and 3D cover shoot with robot dance titans Daft Punk. For two years, the French duo have been working on composing a soundtrack for Tron: Legacy – a high-tech 3D adventure set in a digital world, and sequel to the pioneering 1982 film Tron. Dazed & Confused editor Rod Stanley visited them at their studio base in LA for their only interview about this project, and was the first to hear their new music.
“Daft Punk never take the easy route or go for what’s expected,” says Dazed editor Rod Stanley. “So we really wanted to do something they’d never done before. They threw themselves into it, and this issue has been a real creative collaboration.”
The magazine comes with inserted glasses to see the spectacular 3D shoot by photographer Sharif Hamza, styled by senior menswear editor Robbie Spencer. Unlike other supposedly 3D shoots, this was shot on a stereographic camera rig, which gives a truly three-dimensional effect and unrivalled sense of depth to the images. Check : dazeddigital.com
