About the artist:
The “surreal narrative lyrics and sinister piano melodies” of Felix and the Future can lure unicorns and harness their spirit. A dramatic singer-songwriter producing his own unique blend of dazzling electro-dance music and cosmic ballads, Felix and the Future has been described by critics as a “warbly-voiced, surrealist pop act”. He has been likened to a fantasy adventure with the love child of Kate Bush and David Bowie and the sparkling musical step-brother of illusionist David Blane.
Felix and the Future draws on his self-taught talents as a pianist, singer, songwriter, producer and costume designer, along with his years of professional theatre and dance training. His childhood passion for wildly creative writing glossily and glamorously vitalizes these skills…the culmination of which is vividly seen in his magical stage persona infused with manic energy and visually stunning future-fantasy costume changes.
Felix and the Future has self-produced two music videos: “Steady Hum Drum” – shot in New York City – and “Apollonia” – filmed in the abandoned Central Mexican silver mining town of Real Catorce. He organized an outrageous East Coast Tour (Summer 2011) and a dizzying-ly splendid Northern European Tour (Summer 2012). In June 2011, Felix and the Future released a self-titled EP, which has been gaining air time at venues and parties in cities across the globe – from NYC to Warsaw, LA to Berlin, Miami to Copenhagen, Chicago to Malmo and many places in between. felixandthefuture.com
