It was a night out for Australia’s Fashion Elite. A great celebration of style.
Fashion night out takes off 8th September 2011 in Sydney, Australia. Australia joins the world in the biggest shopping event. VOGUE’S FASHION NIGHT OUT – Where everyone from celebrities, designers and models rub shoulders with avid shoppers.
VFNO Ambassador Model Jessica Gomes joined Australia Vogue Editor-In-Chief Kristie Clements at the official launch the event. Jessica (Sports Illustrated cover model) donned one of the ‘it’ dresses of the season – A sheer Gucci gown for their Fall 2011 collection. With simply tied back tresses and a metallic clutch the effect was – Simply. Dramatic.
The Gucci dress has been making quite an appearances on the world stage.
Rosie Huntington-Whitely donned the same dress at the premier of the third instalment of her movie Transformers in Moscow. Fashion editors and alike hit astronomical ROSIE fever pitch as the model / actress has been stunning around the world in one amazing look after the other. This look garnered comments such as, “Not many people in the world can pull of the chartreuse and sheer skirt while looking this fabulous!” Like Jessica, Rosie kept her hair and accessories simple to ensure her overall effect – Simply. Breathtaking.
That dress was also worn by Australian actress Cate Blanchett on the cover of Australian InStyle magazine. Oozing regal appeal with contemporary edge, very few would ever question the sartorial choice of this Style maven.
With her ethereal gaze, flawless skin and cheek bones to die for, combine this with her penchant for designers that push envelopes, whether it is channelling the classics or pushing boundaries both on screen or on the red carpet, there is always a twist, an intellect, a command, a presence and respect garnered like no other.
We dare you to ask… Who wore it better?
