It has been said that unleashing our inner child is crucial for designing for kids. Paris-based office KOZ took it to a whole new level. Le Ruban is a 1600 m² recreation centre for kids and youngsters in Saint Cloud that shows an absolute use of colour, fading from green to red in inner walls and glass, within a dark prefabricated concrete structure made in Normandy.
The design of the three-story funhouse allows integration of ambients to allow broad spaces and spontaneous interaction from the little users, plus a functional color scheme: red for gym and studio, yellow for circulation and skylights, and green for the climbing wall. – Arch editor André Pinto
