Jose Selgas and Lucia Cano have designed an office for their architectural practice in the woods near Madrid, Spain. The semi-transparent office is sited underneath the tree canopy, a transparent curved plate ceiling faces north and is made of 20mm thick colourless plexiglass.
The opaque half of the building is 110mm thick and made of polyester and fibre-glass plates sandwiching a translucent white foam insulator. A 10mm-thick white plastic panel operated by pulleys and counterbalances allows natural ventilation. (source-arplus)
