”Futurecraft Leather is a prototype and a statement of intent. By reimagining how to work with leather, a material that is synonymous with the adidas brand, we have created a “first of its kind” product in an entirely new way. Milling leather allows us to push the limits of our craft, bringing new form and function to a traditional material.”

This new innovation meets a true adidas Originals icon, in the form of the Superstar. With just 45 pairs available worldwide, Futurecraft Leather is an homage to the Superstar’s years since its inception.

Musician, songwriter, and cultural icon Pharrell Williams returns with a new adidas Originals pack that serves his iconic sense of style and whimsy. Building on the foundational codes of color, energy, and attitude that define his collaboration with adidas, Williams dives deeper into a magical, free-spirited aesthetic. The result is a small cache of limited-edition pieces that vibrate with the curiosity and passion of the musician himself.

Williams found the origins of this collection in a trip to Paris’ renowned Marché Saint Pierre located at the feet of Montmartre’s Sacre-Coeur. There he discovered two seductive vintage floral prints and made them the focal points of this capsule collection as the fabric for his own unisex Superstar LIL’Jacket.

Made in Germany from European materials, the jackets are limited to 200 pieces globally and feature a special Pharrell Williams fit with a cropped length, non-raglan sleeves, and a slightly wider cut across the chest. In classic adidas fashion, the jackets feature the iconic three-stripe motif along their sleeves and color-coordinated trim.

Williams once again turns his attention to footwear, reinterpreting the classic Stan Smith in the same swirling, botanical prints as his jackets. Made of the same European textile fabric, the shoes boast a de-bossed Pharrell Williams logo on their heels and the signature perforated adidas three stripes. As always, it’s what’s on the inside that counts—and here, Williams has created eye-popping custom insoles of his own design.

The Superstar LIL’Jacket as well as the Stan Smith models come in two color ways each, one in a turquoise based the other in a beige based floral print. The Jacquard Pack is limited to 200 per style and available from May 30th in adidas Originals Flagship Stores, select adidas boutiques such as No74 in Berlin and No42 in Paris, and on adidas.com.
