SpongeBob takes Fashion as Terry Richardson, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs…

Very creative and irreverent. Dutch illustrator Mike Frederiqo has taken SpongeBob and made the iconic cartoon character into some of fashions most familiar faces. The likes of Coco Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Terry Richardson, Pharrell Williams, and Takashi Murakami have been immortalized in the style sponge.

Johnny Depp by Igor Kazarin: Speed drawing portrait in dry brush technique

Absolutely incredible work!

”I wished to draw for a long time a portrait of well-known actor Johnny Depp, as a result a portrait is drawn in the dry brush technique. Speed drawing portrait video consists of fragments Shooting on video camera. When draw a portrait moreover the actor such calibre as Johnny Depp, shooting on video distracts from work with a portrait, and sometimes a little and at all I forgot to include it in the fullness of time, therefore Speed drawing in video makes approximately about 70 %. Portrait drawing Johnny Depp has appeared not absolutely simple decision, therefore during portrait drawing, often it is necessary to correct some errors, achieving the best result.”  Igor Kazarin

Advertising Campaign: Diadema City – Violence against women

”It is hard to go home and realize you are safer outside.”

”If violence against women is a crime, how come she is the one still trapped?”

”Some women look for the man of their dreams but end up finding their worst nightmare.”

I think this campaign very interesting. The illustrations give a certain lightness in a very serious matter that are commonly used strong images and shocking.

The Art Of Ashkan Honarvar: ”Vanitas” Collages

An artistic collaboration with stylist Kathi Kauder and photographer Sabrina Theissen. For these mixed media collages Ashkan Honarvar used Vanitas symbols in a search for the equilibrium between life and death.

The woman depicted features different animal eyes, flowers and other body parts. These collage series was published in I Love You Magazine.

Ashkan Honarvar / About the artist :

”The saying goes that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. It occurs in places you least expect. Revealing its art in the human body, but also cruelly absent in the presence of deformations and scars. Ashkan Honarvar (1980) depicts an undeniable, unavoidable beauty by accepting the darker sides of human ‘nature’.”

”The body, torn by acts of war, exploited by the sex industry or used as a tool for seeking identity, is the focal point of his work. This constitutes a search for a universal representation of the evil latent in every human, providing an opportunity for reflection. His aesthetic dissection has an intriguing macabre nature, which opens the images to interpretation.”

”Honarvar’s almost empiric exploration of the human condition knows no bounds. Its goal; the indefinable core. ”  Titus Verheijen
