Skull Style: skulls in contemporary art and culture by Patrice Farameh

One of the most ancient symbols used in the history of mankind is shown in the most surprising and modern way in this book. Formerly an emblem of evil and mortality, the skull has been transformed into an avant-garde design element used in the most cutting-edge art, chic interiors and vanguard style of the moment.

Whether embellished on costly T-shirts, woven on limited edition chairs, and even encrusted with diamonds sold at an art auction for $100 million, the skull is no longer just a daunting memento of our frail mortality but a contemporary figure of fashion.

This 500-page book shows how this once morbid trinket of death has been reinvented into the much-desired decoration by the trendsetters of tomorrow.

Super heroes for a good social cause.

Hulk, Cat, Wonder and Storm. Nobody’s immune to breast cancer. When we talk about breast cancer, there’s no women or superwomen. Everybody has to do the self-examination monthly. Fight with us against the enemy and, when in doubt, talk with your doctor.

Style Forum Special : Tom Ford

For the past 20 years, Tom Ford has been one of the most influential designers in the world.

Really love it. “If it’s not fun, I’m not doing it.” – That’s our attitude too these days.

We wish everyone a great year 2012. Good things will come your way. Believe it!

Advertising Campaign: Diadema City – Violence against women

”It is hard to go home and realize you are safer outside.”

”If violence against women is a crime, how come she is the one still trapped?”

”Some women look for the man of their dreams but end up finding their worst nightmare.”

I think this campaign very interesting. The illustrations give a certain lightness in a very serious matter that are commonly used strong images and shocking.

Hollow Chair by Judson Beaumont

This chair was designed to remove the excess bulk and 3-dimensional footprint out of a traditional arm chair.

The chair, by itself, is a perfect accent to nearly any environment you could place it in. Whether it’s filled with water bottles and towels for a health club or spa, or filled with books for a lobby or library reading area, the chair can blend seamlessly into the surrounding decor.

It was constructed from 618 individually cut pieces of Baltic Birch plywood, and upholstered in vinyl. The pieces were designed on a computer to be cut out via CNC so that they would each be identical, to ensure the seamless joints would accommodate the stress-load of everyday use.

The chair is something different and surprising that represents the simplicity, functionality and fun of Judson Beaumont’s designs.

Finding extra storage in your home or office is always a challenge. The Hollow Chair helps turn that clutter into decoration. “The chair, by itself, is a perfect accent to nearly any environment you could place it in. Whether it’s filled with water bottles and towels for a health club or spa, or filled with books for a lobby or library reading area, the chair can blend seamlessly into the surrounding decor.” Straightline Designs

Crystal Waters – Gypsy Woman | Russ Chimes’ Unofficial Remix

I dedicate this song to all the creative boys and girls around the world.

Marcelo Marquini / Editor-in-Chief / creativeboysclub.com

”Russ Chimes and Justin Faust always get the party started for us so why not enter the weekend with another 90′s flashback…Russ Chimes’ remix of Crystal Waters own hit “Gypsy Woman.” I want to whip my long and luxurious hair around whenever I hear this song. Takes me back boo, takes me back! Chimes really knows how to turn an old favorite into something that was already fun back then even better.”

HBH Bulldog GT – Aston Martin V12 Vantage

Danish firm HBH puts it’s own spin on the Aston Martin Martin V12 Vantage giving us the twin-turbocharged 666 hp HBH Bulldog.

The 6.0 liter engine delivers 548 lb-ft of torque and will hit a top speed of 186 mph. Test drives are slated to begin in early 2013.

Aside from the engine being place behind the cabin, the Bulldog GT features unique aluminum bodywork that looks suitably Aston-like and accommodates placing the engine in the middle. And in case the 6.0-liter V12 lifted from the Vantage weren’t powerful enough, HBH has bolted on two superchargers to boost output up to 666 horsepower. That’s said to be enough for a 3.9-second run to 62 mph and a 186-mph top end, but we wouldn’t be surprised to find those numbers conservative. Source Autoblog
