ANNA PAQUIN VAMPS UP THE COVER PLUS RAF SIMONS’S 15TH-ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
Terry Richardson exclusively shoots True Blood’s Anna Paquin for Dazed’s cover this month, styled by senior fashion editor Katie Shillingford. We sit down for an interview with Anna to reflect on her career trajectory, from winning an Oscar aged 11 to taking over the world as vampire-loving barmaid Sookie Stackhouse.
Dazed greets 2011 with a fresh look at the coming fashion season in an explosion of colour, and celebrates with Raf Simons, the visionary designer who has been bringing his bold vision to fashion for 15 years. There is exclusive archive shoot photographed by Pierre Debusschere and styled by Dazed’s senior menswear editor Robbie Spencer, with an intimate retrospective interview by Raf’s friend Jo-Ann Furniss. Dazed also invites some of Raf’s many talented collaborators and mentors to discuss how the designer has changed the fashion landscape.
Dazed’s January issue also features an interview with Swedish indie pop star Lykke Li, who has turned away from her Lolita beginnings to explore a darker sound, as well as an exclusive conversation between Jamie XX and his label boss XL’s Richard Russell, who reflect on beats, success and working with Gil Scott-Heron. There’s also a look at the legacy of cult photographer William Gedney, the life and work of avant-garde.
